Education benefits alone are ~$50K not to mention 100% tuition paid while your on active duty. There are many opportunities to change career fields or just change jobs within a career field. Travel opportunities across the US and abroad.

Family seperation. Differenct career fields have different amounts of time away from family so there's no ones size fits all answer. Sometimes the amount of work is light and sometimes it's unbearable. You have to take the good with the bad. Stress can be high sometimes but you rarely get bored. Again, depends on the career field.
