Job security, interesting positions available. The Navy really does mean well for it's people. It's problems are just the nature of the beast. If you are Ok without incentive for a job well done, or if you are just plain lazy, then this is the job for you. Especially in the nuke field, there is so much red tape, that the managers are busy managing that and have no time to properly manage their people.

poor management bad schedule boring they can't fire people- this is a bad thing for people who actually want to work and have self-determination and work ethic.
