- Unlike some of the other good engineering shops, Uber gives you a chance to develop something from ground up. Uber is still scaling its engineering team, tooling, processes, etc. So there is endless opportunity to pick up something and run with it and making things easier for the next set of Engineers. - Engineering culture is very merit based. Very little gets in the way of you building something new. - The company is very open to change. It is pleasantly surprising how much I was able to change and influence as an Engineer in my first few months.
