Vantaggi

-Good Benefits, although they are cutting back heavily on educational reimbursement -Fast Paced -Opportunities to work on interesting projects -Some team members are amazing to work with and help push to make you better at your job -Very competitive base salary for the job title -incredible relocation package, although it is being scaled back every year

Svantaggi

-No work life balance. You are an expendable commodity and they will get every last ounce of work out of you. Working every other weekend all year long while being paid less than what the workers make for the OT. Those not willing to live at the plant are seen as not putting in as much effort. -No advancement opportunities for those not in the UFLP program. UFLP candidates have a set course for advancement and are set up for success. Those not in the program need to know somebody higher up to have the opportunity to move beyond their current role. -Constant "pushing back the goal posts". More responsibility is being given but current job roles are still required to be kept up. More work with the same pay and less time away from the factory. -Extremely political environment. Those good at "managing up" will be rewarded while those unable or unwilling to play the game will be stuck in current role regardless of achievements. -No team cohesion. Each small piece of the supply chain puzzle puts up walls and tries to keep out anything that might cause them issues. Passing the buck or failure by committee is common. -Supply chain is treated as a "necessary evil". Those at HQ have a far better working environment with far better support than those in the factories -Forcing out the older workforce. Many senior managers being pushed out the door to save on higher salary costs. The knowledge vacuum creates huge gaps and inefficient retraining.

Vantaggi

Working at Unilever in Raeford offers strong overall benefits, including good pay for the area, solid health insurance, retirement options, and additional perks like tuition assistance and employee discounts. The company provides a stable work environment as a large global organization, with opportunities for career growth and skill development in a modern, well-maintained facility. Employees often highlight the team-oriented culture, supportive coworkers, and clean, safety-focused workplace. Overall, it’s considered a reliable employer with good work-life balance and long-term career potential.

Svantaggi

Working there can involve long hours and rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, which can make work-life balance harder depending on your role. The job can also be physically demanding, especially in production or warehouse positions, requiring standing for long periods and repetitive tasks. Because it’s a large corporation, there can be strict policies, less flexibility, and slower decision-making. Additionally, while growth opportunities exist, advancement can sometimes feel competitive or slow without the right connections or timing.

Vantaggi

It is a large company with a record of 3 years without a recordable injury. Occasionally feeds the employees

Svantaggi

The biggest issue with this plant and it invades every aspect of the company is a complete lack of ability to properly communicate information. The applies internal to departments, across departments and up and down. They have the technology to do it, just not the organization. Company could probably use much more Engineering organization.
