Large company facing lots of shareholder pressure and expectations in mature markets to grow. This leads to additional emphasis on restructuring and cost savings in short term to maintain expectations on financial performance in absence of strong growth.

The biggest issue with this plant and it invades every aspect of the company is a complete lack of ability to properly communicate information. The applies internal to departments, across departments and up and down. They have the technology to do it, just not the organization. Company could probably use much more Engineering organization.
