Good people to work around and with. Cant beat the amount of money that they pay compared to other jobs currently available, especially for someone out of high school or with no degree.
Svantaggi
A lot of "oldheads" who are still stuck in the old ways of railroading, yet are unwilling to adapt to changes or even help fight for better agreements. Don't expect to have a wild social life, as most jobs require a crazy schedule or to be on call.
