Payroll and promotion issues are a constant challenge. Despite being promised a raise for a promotion, it took months to receive the correct amount, and even then, the pay was still inaccurate due to previous errors. What's frustrating is that it's the employee's responsibility to track and catch these issues, as outlined in the company handbook. Mistakes with pay seem to be a recurring problem, and it often feels like the burden is placed on employees to correct things that should be managed by HR. Tracking your own pay and making sure everything’s accurate becomes a job in itself. This is a common concern among colleagues as well.
