It’s my responsibility to ensure every teammate has a positive experience, so I’m disappointed to hear that isn’t the case for you – let’s fix it. I realize joining a new company through an acquisition is particularly challenging, especially during a national crisis while we transition to working from our homes, and I haven’t yet met a lot of our new employees in person.
You have my Slack and you know my email address – please reach out, as I’d love to have a candid conversation. We’ve never prevented or discouraged our employees from sharing their experiences on Glassdoor. As disappointed as I am reading this review, I’m thankful you shared it and I hope this gives us an opportunity to discuss.
As at any growing company, we expect everyone to make a tremendous impact on our goals. Our flexible PTO policy is designed with trust and appreciation of our team – trust that each employee will balance their responsibilities and take the time off they need to rest and recharge. Additionally, the “this is the way we’ve always done it” mindset you mention isn’t something I see or hear at Updater – my job is to empower you to grow this business, and if something is standing in your way, please let me know.
