- If you are early in your career. - You want exposure to a variety of clients. - Many training opportunities - A fun, laid back working environment is important to you. - Good work-life balance and generous PTO. - Owners are down to earth and care about the employees.

Svantaggi

- Poor track record of hiring competent leaders/C-level employees: at least 3 “leaders” were divisive, selfish, and immature. - Few employees stay longer than 3 years. - Employees who are rewarded are either type A personalities (they dominate meetings), or they are friends with the COO. - On multiple occasions, an employee would be “promoted” only to be “demoted” a few months later, when Vertical Measures would bring in someone from the outside to actually take that position. - Too much “drink the Kool-aid” mentality for my taste.

Thank you for your review regarding your employment at VM. While we always hope for positive reviews, no employer is perfect and we fully expect to receive candid feedback. We appreciate that. You worked here for more than 3 years, no doubt we were sorry to see you go. Regarding leadership, a growing company will make decisions and have to re-evaluate if those decisions were not the best. Change and transitions were painfully needed to find the right leadership. We believe we are solidly there now. We have to respectfully disagree with your assessment that few employees stay longer than three years. Looking at our roster of 60+ employees (and yes, we have many new hires in 2018 due to growth - these are new hires/new positions, not replacements for vacated positions), we have almost half our existing staff with seniority of more than three years. It sounds as though you left with a bad (kool-aid) taste in your mouth. We are sad to know this and hope you found employment that challenges you and is more fulfilling. Again, we appreciate your candid review and we will always strive to #improve each day. Best of luck to you!

Top to bottom, VM was the smartest group of people I've ever worked with. People checked egos at the door, embraced feedback, and were constantly learning and improving.

Because of growth, there were always a lot of new people. As good as the overall processes were, it simply takes time to onboard new people. Frustrating at times but also a reality in a growing agency.

This is a great place if you are looking to start a career in digital marketing. After 3-5 years with Vertical Measures, most employees are either looking to or have left the company for more growth opportunities. Pros: - Allow time for you to learn the industry through training, conferences and industry reading. - Opportunities to become an industry thought leader through writing articles for the company blog and/or host webinars. - Typical agency setting with a laid back environment, drinks, team activities and company gatherings. - Flexible and generous PTO.

Svantaggi

- The executive team lacks leadership skills and the owners are aware of this but have yet to do anything about it and provide additional training. - Processes are broken even though they will spend endless time on trying to map them. More time is spent on mapping without actually implementing any of the changes. - High turnover with employees and clients. - Company culture was a huge focus to the point that it felt forced in order to win local awards and recognition. - They easily promote employees based more on the fear of knowing someone may be unhappy rather than recognizing the skills and contributions they bring to the company. Just as quick as they will promote, they will demote and bring someone new in for a position they may have promised/discussed with you during the initial 'promotion'.
