Vantaggi

The people sprinkling are nice and a safe clean place to work not to hard of a job. Pay is fair for the work. Training was ok.

Svantaggi

After training through a temp service Elwood staffing and they suck by the way you are assigned A shift for 90 days to get hired through Vestas and then you have to work another year at that point you can put in for a shift change no exceptions if you don't like your shift you are told to find another job.... Don't be late they will delay your hire as long as they want and will let you go for any reason. I seen it from other employees they will replace you for any reason. You are just a warm body and easily replaced. I resigned after being assigned 2nd shift 2pm to 10 pm. With a family that didn't work for me. Requested to 3rd shift I even had a guy that wanted to switch in the same department and was told if you don't like the shift you are assigned then find another job. They have the right to move you around and you have to do what they say or get fired. You have to be flex able to their needs only. Also no stability they work off sales so if they don't sell that year they will lay you off.

Vantaggi

Vestas has been at the cutting edge of wind turbine technology for quite some time. They are industry leaders at the global level.

Svantaggi

Culture has been eroding significantly over the past few years. Too many organizational changes, all with the focus on making the shareholders more 'happy,' to the detriment of the employees who have the actual ability to make the work happen. Profit is the only thing that matters at Vestas nowadays and, therefore, several regions that are seemingly less profitable than other are essentially left out to dry. There was always a huge amount of focus on the changing market characteristics, but nearly zero action to make internal changes, either to technology or commercial strategies, in order to improve competitiveness against other WTG OEMs.
