The co-workers I had were fantastic. A great group of people. Outside of management, the teamwork expressed among coworkers was the best I have experienced.

Management didn't alow any thinking outside to box. If there was a problem to take care of, management dictated how the troubleshooting process world be, even if the solution was in sight by a coworker. This created a lot of stress. Also, there was a lot of busy work to be done that got in the way of actual projects to be completed. One time a coworker's project of the day was to take stacks of bills and enter them into spreadsheets, while there were projects on the table that would be beneficial to the infrastructure.
There was also a lot of favor given to one of the people on the staff. No matter how much work he pushed off to his coworkers, or how many days off he took, management just looked the other way. When a more senior person left the company, the favored coworker used it as a way to point out what was wrong with the dept, and GOT A RAISE OUT OF IT!! Even though the person that left turned in his resignation due to the fovortism given to the employee.
