Smaller companies can feel a pinch stronger at times - one departure can ripple through the company on a more personal level than one departure from a Fortune 500 company. Teams can be stretched thin if workloads are heavy - multiple projects and deadlines can be a part of being at a smaller organization.
Variety of work: Because you work on different types of projects, you have to perform on multiple levels. If you have carved out a niche passion area, you won't be able to solely work just on those types of projects.
