I was scheduled for my 3rd interview when Covid hit. HR contacted me the day before the interview to cancel because "they weren't allowing visitors." That made sense. She told me that I would be rescheduled when things returned to normal. I contacted her every month for 3 months (since she didn't contact me). Immediately after my 3rd attempt, I received an automated response that I was passed over. A couple of minutes later she sent an email saying that they had started interviewing again and found more "suitable" candidates. After 2 good interviews I was no longer "suitable?" This was what is called "ghosting," and it is a very poor reflection on a company. If this happens to you, remember your value and the skills you possess, especially when they had previously showed interest based on those skills. Then, MOVE ON! You are better than this and the great employers recognize this and will treat you with the respect and integrity that make you want to work there!
