Evidently, diversity does not equate to equal opportunity! Some, if not most of he IT managers here are very biased and show it...they don't care about a certain group of employees. During my time with Volvo IT, I have continually witnessed that Afro-American and Latino employees, (as compared to the rate of "others") often, if not regularly passed over for opportunities for advancing/moving to other areas within Volvo IT, no matter how long they have been with the company, or have demonstrated they have the know-how and skills to do the job. Management has been doing this so long they don't have any concern or worry, and HR is no help!
