WRNS is plagued by politics. People are overworked and completely stressed out, uninspired and tired. People who have stuck around are on edge, snappy (honestly, you can’t blame them because their daily work lives are mostly comprised of situations where they are “putting out fires” created by the poor leadership). You never know what you’ll get each day, communication is absolute chaos, expectations are not set and demands are made at the whim of the partners. The revered partners don’t have a progressive molecule in their bodies. Take a look at their leadership photo on the website and note a sea of men and 3 women, one of which is in HR, and the other one that is actually involved with projects is impossible to work with. She is accomplished but has a long-spanning reputation of being the “horrible queen bee”. She is especially vicious toward other women, unfortunate considering she is supposed to be in a mentorship role. Multiple women have asked to never work with her again, and I personally know a young designer who decided to leave the industry entirely because of the way she was mistreated by this same person many years ago. If you're looking to move up in this firm then prepare to invest 60+ hours per week to get those first few promotions. I would keep looking if you're considering this place.
