The organization is very atypical for an American plant. As they figure things out, benefits have been removed over time, pay has not gone up, raises are rare, and the good people seem to be leaving. Management is totally tone-deaf to any feedback from employees. Examples: Pay for operators has not been consistent with other plants in the area, leading to good operators leaving and unskilled operators sticking around. Pay for engineering doesn't develop over time as they lack a pay progression system. They rolled one out toward the end of my tenure and the experience levels didn't come with increased pay.
