Vantaggi
Let me first off by saying, all the other reviews may be helpful, but in some way they are all wrong, including this one. Your experience at Walgreens is completely based on who your managers are and their personalities, traits, etc. Pros - In-store discount - Fun people to work with (again it depends on location) - Generally laid back, depending when and where you work. Pharmacy is always busy, and the front is busy in the morning, but usually laid back during dusk and the night. - Easy easy easy easy job, its all repetition and that could be a con, it depends on your attitude towards that. - Some customers can be really cool to talk to and when you work there long enough you'll start you know the 'regulars' that come in. - Good learning experience for future jobs - Open door policy, and they are very very good about establishing that.
Svantaggi
Cons - Pay is terrible - In my experience, I'd work hard ALL day and bust my ass and get little recognition for my work. - Again, it depends on managers, but I found their was no way to move up. I'd be given a project and do what I want told, then the manager would come and look at it and check it off. However this is contradicted by going ' above and beyond', because usually in my experience if I tried to add more to the project or get something else done it would become an inconvenience to the manager and I would have to change it, eating up time in the process. - Convenience isn't a word you should learn when working here. So much more work would get done if employees gave thought to what they are doing and thought about chain of events. - A couple bad apples can really ruin your experience.
