6yLet me start by thanking you for the feedback. Although we are not used to receiving 1-star reviews we appreciate your opinion. We never like to hear that someone has had a negative experience with us. We are always trying to brainstorm ways to decrease stress and work smarter. I do agree, this is a face-paced company but that is the heart of Walks. We know we are growing rapidly and we are always attentive to this fact!
As much as we respect the overall feedback, after some deep reflection, we can’t agree with a few of your statements.
We do our best to stay competitive with pay and match the market rate but as a small company, this is not always the case. We believe our travel opportunities combined with our great benefits package make up for this. While we would love for everyone to have the same travel opportunities there are some roles that require more travel due to their nature. We value transparency, respect, and support - we try hard on our weekly company-wide video calls to keep everyone in the loop, always leaving time for questions & answers at the end. In addition, our HR team checks in with all employees at least once a week in order to hear feedback like this, we’re sorry if you felt unable to share during these check-ins.
Our culture is ever-improving and morphing into something new, especially with being in the travel industry during this pandemic! COVID-19 is a difficult situation to navigate but we feel we are handling it with respect and care while remaining compliant with Irish employment law.
