-Management will regularly screw up your schedule. It happened to me, and many of my fellow employees. Walmart does not care what your schedule is. -Walmart takes any chance it can get to spend less money on its employees. Such as contracts which allow them to give you over the max of part-time hours, but without any of the benefits of a full time employee. -Speaking of full time, you will never get a real full time job here. The reason for this is that if you work full time at Walmart you will be given benefits. (I'm not sure what they are, no one explained them to me) and that means Walmart would have to pay enough money for you to survive on which would be bad for them. Why? I'll explain. -Walmart stores Inc. and Sam's Club, and any of their other affiliations want you to stay in poverty because that means you have to keep shopping at their stores, and they get all the money they gave to you back. So they will give you a part time job, pay you minimum wage, not let you unionize, no benefits, and give you the finger if you ever try to move up in the company. I had a fellow employee while I was working there who told me that he was 'promoted' and got a pay cut and worse hours. A quote from him was "Walmart, the only place where you can be promoted, and get payed less." Walmart is tempting when you're getting desperate and need the money, but I can tell you from personal experience that it's not worth it. At any time I can apply to the one in our town again, and I will not. I have run out of money now, can't even pay for gas, and I still won't go back because it is such a terrible business to work for. Do yourself a favor, avoid Walmart and you'll be much happier.
