If you are not in the clique, your opinions will not be considered. You will not be heard. I have worked at this company for many years and I would not consider myself to be in the clique. I have offered many ideas, and in no uncertain terms, management made it clear that they are not open to ideas, and just want every employee to do their assigned work. Once, there was a feedback tool that management signed up for. When people quit, they have an exit interview. They expressed that the culture is the primary reason they quit. Management, to disprove to themselves that this was false, signed up for a feedback tool, officevibe. I think they wanted to hear that everyone was happy and that the people that quit were just venting and making up stories. The tool was shut down very quickly because people were anonymously rating the culture very low. Management, instead of realizing that people were crying for help, shut down the tool, saying that it "created negativity." The tool was not the problem. If you are looking for a job, and this is your only option, I would say to take it. It is better than nothing, but here are my practical tips: NEVER say anyone's name in ANY context: good or bad. If you compliment one person, someone else will be offended they weren't complimented. Stay neutral until you understand the culture cliques. Then, once you are ready, choose which side you want to be on. Neutral individuals don't last long. Immediately bend over backwards to befriend the upper management. Do whatever you have to. If you can get in their good grace, you will be completely safe from any actions you do.

Lastly, one of the key factors in deciding to discontinue the use of OfficeVibe after several years of use was that we found it very challenging to take effective action on anonymous feedback relating to specific situations. Similarly, while we will do our best to address the concerns outlined here, I encourage you to have a candid conversation with your manager. If you are not comfortable speaking to your manager, please reach out to another member of the leadership team so that we can best support you and continue to improve WaterStreet.

Medical insurance is on the pricey side for spouse and family coverage. The company is moving back to a in office culture which can result in reduced work force to select new potential employees from. Salary could be much more competitive when compared to similar skill sets for positions through out Montana as well as the US. You must set the boundary of work/life balance it will not be done for you.
