Vantaggi
Prior to the first round of layoffs in 2022, the culture and work was amazing. The operations team was incredible and we were doing so many fun and amazing projects. We were able to host many employee events that helped to establish strong bonds between the team and foster employee/team growth. We worked hard, but had a great time doing it.
Svantaggi
Post-2022 layoff and heading into the second layoff in January 2023, it was a strained and toxic environment. Many teams became strapped and were ill-equipped to manage their entire portfolio. There were very few team events and an overall sad/negative vibe in the office. Outside of the RIF times, there were three major negatives with the company: 1) Female leaders outside of Category Management were hard to come by and never stayed at the company for very long. 2) Ops leadership highly favors ex-McKinsey pals. Most of the company's Directors + were from McKinsey and most were terrible leaders that put together destructive strategies that ended up costing the company millions. 3) Equity based pay was total garbage post-COVID stock price surge. Total all-in pay was significantly lower than what was agreed to and there was no negotiating power with base pay.
