-Ridiculously high targets to even earn commission - Advertised as £1500+ p/m. And apparently was part of the minimum wage act. When people were getting paid like £50 a month because they had no chance in hell of hitting their RIDICULOUS targets. You are made to feel awful if you take a day off. They don't background check potential employees. Met a lot of dodgy people. Had money/belongings stolen from staff which seemed to turnover every week. - Company have absolutely no morals or respect for their clients/employees/or the general public.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you feel you have had a poor experience fundraising with us and would welcome the opportunity to discuss the issues covered in more detail. The campaign support team are available on: 01462 704 860. As you will be aware, we support an outbound fundraising team in excess of 600 personnel per year and have very few complaints. It is therefore of the utmost importance that we are able to speak with any individual that believes their experience was not up to the standard they expected. In regards to pay we provide an hourly rate of £7.30 with a commission structure that rewards those who strive to work hard and generate an income for our charity partners. As a result our fundraisers earn in the region of £1500 - £1600 per month. This is based on generating approximately 20 new charity supporters per week which is achieved by the majority of the fundraising workforce. Taking time off is an important aspect of the fundraising role as it ensures our teams are energized and motivated to work hard when it matters and truly make a difference for our charity partners. As a result Wesser includes holiday pay as part of the hourly remuneration package. As with many businesses we require notification of holidays/time off and will aim to grant leave where possible. If not possible, alternative opportunity will be provided by the fundraising campaign team. All fundraisers that join the business are required to provide at least two references from previous employers for the purpose of background checking. We also reserve the right to run additional spot checks on fundraisers at the point of joining the organisation. This is for the security of our fundraisers, charity partners and the general public. Should issues arise within a team that could constitute unacceptable behaviour it must be reported to a senior member of staff immediately. These matters will be dealt with as appropriate by the management team. We are regulated by the Fundraising Standards Board and also operate a strict code of conduct that ensures ethical and morally correct fundraising practice is adhered to at all times by both the business and individual fundraisers. I worked for the company as a student and was placed in company-arranged accommodation in Slough. The arrangement was described as free accommodation with earnings, but I experienced unexpected costs and a lack of clarity around pay. During my time there, I felt the working environment was highly stressful and unsupportive. After a short period without successful sign-ups, I was dismissed and asked to leave the accommodation with very short notice. Overall, my experience did not match what was initially communicated to me, and I would advise others to seek full clarity on terms before joining.
