      - Learning and Education Company is interested in the education of its employees. Wilson offers tuition reimbursement to those seeking degrees in Wilson related fields. - Work Environment The work environment is probably Wilson's greatest Pro.... Wilson offers a relaxed work environment where individuals are not reprimanded harshly for mistakes, and people work more as a team than under a hierarchical structure. - Growth New ideas are fostered and there is great potential for your ideas to get funded and implemented into the work routine. Contrary to other posts; in my department I have found large room for growth and the ability to try numerous avenues to explore my talents. - Pay Wilson offers a biannual bonus package which is really helpful.

      - Pay Pay is nominal. This company pays "competitively", because it is completing with the rest of Southern Utah for lower wages. There is an unspoken rule in this region that companies should not offer outstanding wages because as long as no one does, no one will have to. I would like to see a company offer nationally competitive wages, not just regionally. After all we do live in a global economy where fuel and groceries cost the same here as anywhere. - Healthcare Although Wilson just revamped their entire benefits package, and offers HSA contributions, the monthly premiums are prohibitive. I don't see how it would be possible for 70 to 80 percent of Wilson employees to afford $400.00 a month for family health premiums. I know that for myself and some of my colleges who are by no means on the bottom end of the Wilson pay scale this amount is not within our budget. - Future Uncertainty Wilson Electronics was recently purchased by a capital equity firm, and all cap firms have an exit strategy. This leaves questions about long term stability.

      Your feedback is appreciated. Since your comment was left we have made further improvements to our benefits and the costs. This is getting increasingly more difficult and expensive with the trends in healthcare, but we are proud to say we are still bucking the trend. We understand your comment about wages, though there is not an "unwritten rule" in play. All employers who take their compensation plans very seriously, pay close attention to industry, geography, company size, and market rates, among other variables for each job title they employ. Some geographies command different salaries than others. San Francisco,CA is going to pay more than St. George, UT for example. We are not part of a conglomerate of employers trying to keep wages down, rest assured. But we will continue to push the compensation envelope for our area by paying on the upper end for Southern Utah!       I like that we're in one building now but that has its pros and cons

      We spent a ton of money building a new manufacturing facility in Saint George, UT. Problem is, we're losing to competition. They're doing it faster and cheaper. Our costs are much higher, our quality is no longer that much better, and competitors have quickly caught up with our ideas. Management cries about competitors stealing our IP rather than innovating and staying ahead of the curve. We're losing to the competition and I'm afraid layoffs and further downsizing are imminent.
