Short lived work environment due to changes in the organization

It was amazing working with so many people who were passionate about the same thing. The conversations and collaboration about how to make the work field a better place for women in tech were so hopeful. Companies like Women Who Code, who provided so many free resources and community, are just so important and it's extremely disappointing for the industry that it is no longer available.

Unfortunately, I think there were too many cooks in the kitchen who could not make decisions on things in a timely manner. Because it was a non-profit, we obviously relayed on donor money, but I think in the long run we were spending way more money than we should of. The company ended up closing it's door and took everyone by surprise. I wish that they were a little bit more transparent about money (especially for a company that pushing pay transparency in the industry - they could not admit that they needed more money themselves). There was also just so much unnecessary internal drama, where it really didn't need to be. There were certain people who's egos were a little bit too big for their title.
