-The current management came in at the "right time" before being bought out by ABC. Managers were chosen based on friendship and not qualification. No formal training as a manager or director which greatly reflects on the employee’s well being. This is not true for all the departments, some departments have good leaders. But unfortunately those few good leaders’ hands are tied as well from upper management to do anything good for their employees. -Do not work for International Customer Service! The worst department in the company due to extremely poor leadership and management. Managers operate by instilling fear by both undertone and direct threats regarding your position/employment. -One of the lowest paying jobs in Fortune 500. 35K starting regardless of your qualifications or education. No college degree is required to work here; therefore the pay is low with barely any raise. Not a recommended job if you're living in NY. -No room for growth in the company. There's no such thing as a promotion. It’s a dead-end job! Existing managers already are billeted for all supervisors and manager slots and none are leaving these positions because they are compensated very generously. -International Customer Service (INTLCS) Dept. ONLY - Not a military friendly department either. If you get deployed or leave for training, they will hire you as a "re-hire" with loss of pay and accrued benefits. The company was under investigation from USERRA (Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act) and the Justice Department, unfortunately they were not able to bring any charges due to lack of evidence. This is a “Fortune 100”company; they know how to cover themselves legally – very unsettling. -You’ll be reprimanded by the managers if you want to leave the department to go to another department as well. Managers will consider you as a rehire if you leave the department. This department has the highest turnover rate. You will be reprimanded if you do not show up due to inclement weather even during declared emergencies. * Seven employees either quit or were fired in a span of 4 months only. -The INTLCS workload is extremely heavy with low number of employees handling the number of orders. Upper management likes to keep the low numbers in order to generate a more “cost effective” department and end of the year bonus being collected back in their pocket. This position should easily be starting MINIMUM 50K, but you MUST for 35K. -Any positive reviews you see in this site were written by employees who have been in the company for more than 10 years and were given a bonus to write a positive review. Do not believe in it, and clearly the positive reviews were quite the short review. -In essence, ONLY work here if you’re struggling financially or having extreme difficulty finding any other job just to put food on the table. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and do not apply here. Plenty of employees are miserable and are going through depression due to work environment and managers.
