Lower wages than surrounding market, even when comparing among similar universities. Looked up the salary of other state university employees doing my job and all were making $10,000+ more/year. 2% raises for the last 5 years with exceptional performance reviews. Cost of benefits have gone up every year as well. Factor in inflation and you make less every year you work here. When you mention this to management, they shrug their shoulders and claim that nothing can be done. Finally, after many of us voiced our complaints, management announced a total compensation review wherein they paid millions of dollars to an outside firm to spend 2 years doing a review. By the time the review is done, and any adjustments made, we'll be behind the market again. Stupid. Could have used the millions of dollars spent on "expert consultants" to fix the problem directly. But what do I know? I got my MBA from WSU.
