Received a paycheck every week. Benefits were okay. No work/life balance. If you are an exempt employee, you have to work through your vacation. There is no one to back you up completely for you to take the time off. The recruiters will tell you there are a lot of opportunities for advancement/promotions. In reality, there is very limited advancement opportunities for employees. Management would rather hire outside the company than promote from within - especially for leadership positions.

Poor communication was a trend, and no one cared. All of our bonus' were taken away in 2017, and most of the employees did not find out until the Spring of 2017, when they asked their managers when they would be receiving their bonus money. PTO....we were not supposed to lose any PTO in 2017. The policies between Menlo and XPO were going to be combined, but at the last minute they changed the policy, and it was not to the employees benefit. There are way too many Managers, Directors, Executive Directors, VPs, and SVPs - but, all of those folks get the bonus money that was once distributed to all...now, just a select few. Management is not trustworthy, and have personal relationships with other members of the team outside of work. I worked in HR, and there was no one I could go to who I could trust with this information. And, those managers I did trust, they couldn't do anything anyway because it was the XPO Management in High Pointe, who were running the show, and it was their way or the high way.

I have enjoyed my time with XPO and appreciate the opportunities the company has provided for both personal and professional growth. The team environment is supportive, and I've had the chance to build strong relationships with coworkers and customers over the years. One of the things I value most is that hard work and dedication are recognized. Every day brings new challenges, which keeps the job interesting and allows me to continue learning. The transportation industry is constantly changing, so employees need to be adaptable and able to handle shifting priorities. Workloads can be demanding at times, but the teamwork and customer relationships make it rewarding
