Vantaggi
The company is earnestly attempting to do some good things in the energy sector and find creative solutions for being a huge monopoly in an industry that is quickly being taken over by small or individual power producers. Certain (few) departments and units are invested in their workforce and creating a positive culture. Benefits are good for the most part, including a pension that vests after 3 years of service.
Svantaggi
Executive leadership (for the most part) doesn't care about the effects of negative culture on "individual contributors" or personal quality of life. They have no problem running employees into the ground and then berating them for not working hard or smart enough, when they should be hiring sufficient staff for each team and training everyone appropriately. Anyone who questions authority or executive choices is pushed out. There is no opportunity for advancement in certain departments, and when there is those jobs almost always go to employees who are favorites of upper management. Pay is not terrible but by no means competitive. Don't work here if you want to be treated like you matter.
