Vantaggi
Great people and purpose (pursuing clean energy, providing necessary utilities to millions of people). The name recognition in the industry is great. If you stick around for a few years projects start rolling your way. You do have opportunities for growth.
Svantaggi
Under tremendous O&M pressure. Means not a lot of support to employee workload if you happen to be in an understaffed area. View people as fungible; as such are losing much of the institutional wisdom necessary to see projects to actual completion and replacing it with AI and someone who has never worked for any utility before. Wage inflation has occurred - nothing like working your tail off for years at a certain pay grade and then realizing you are educating people about the basics who are in newly created positions that are 1-2 grades higher on the pay scale. If you botch a project no leadership will remember in five years because they'll all be gone. Voluntary retirements offered to hundreds of employees a few years ago leaves one with the feeling you will eventually be next. Competing business units. Leading the clean energy revolution but hasn't updated basic systems to allow very, very basic business processes to be completed quickly or easily. Don't get mad at your supervisor, they are so overworked they aren't put in a position to succeed/support their people, even if they want to.
