At first glance the proposition of Xillio sounds interesting and promising. Salary good.

Though quite some employees are fun the overall atmosphere is not very joyful. Main reason to avoid this company is the owner/managing director. He has a vision but can’t translate this to a well functioning company. He can be very moody, wants to pull all strings and keep micro-managing. Bad results and bad decisions are never his fault. The management is weak as it’s the owner’s way or the highway. The proposition is interesting but the solution isn’t (anymore). People in key positions tend to leave the company pretty fast after joining. Sooner or later you will be confronted with the erratic acting of the owner. Think twice before you join this club. . I was hired by Xillio as a data migration engineer. During the one month onboarding program, I was given a list of tasks to do, as well as a task from the software developers’ team. Due to the agile nature of the team, most of my time was spent trying to meet deliverables for the sprint reviews. Not once was I onboarded with the data migration engineers, but I was let go from the company because I “did not have enough enthusiasm for the role” - a role I did not even do. In addition to that, I had seen management scold employees even though the structure of the company is supposedly flat. I was assured by many colleagues that I was doing fine and my progress was good, and that the final onboarding presentation was just a formality. I put a lot of effort into that presentation only to be told that it did not wow them like the presentation I did during their interviews did. I even received warnings for leaving the office early (to continue working from home) even though majority of the employees work from home - there would be at most five people in the office everyday and I was one of them. The experience was pretty traumatizing and I would not wish that on anyone.
