The interim solutions practice has become a case study in how not to structure internal opportunities or leadership accountability. All internal opportunities (as well as key offsite networking meetings) are funneled to one individual at the top with no fair distribution process in place, leaving the rest of the team with little chance for visibility, growth, or recognition. Leadership is fully aware of this imbalance and has chosen to maintain it, creating a culture of frustration, disengagement, and distrust. Team morale is low with frequent "water-cooler" conversations centered on the unfairness of the system. Many talented professionals are quietly looking elsewhere, ripe for a mass exodus. Most concerning is that Larry (the CEO) and the private equity owners would allow such a risky and revenue-threatening setup to persist. The entire model is dangerously dependent on a single person, which is neither sustainable nor aligned with any best practices in the industry. Team has incredible potential, but it's being suffocated by a structure that rewards loyalty to one person rather than merit or performance.

The only pro is that it is remote work with flexible-ish hours.

They are terrible at compensating employees for their hard work. They find ways to slow down paying for work completed, healthcare provided is expensive and awful, and they care about making money for the private equity investors and the management team. It is the worst example of the patriarchy with a "bros" mentality - "winning" "making the play" "taking the shot", etc. - they could care less about their clients and just about the amount of money and up-selling/cross-selling they can do. They want to be in the top 5 of recruiting firms but they never will get there without completely changing the culture and actually understanding what makes a good placement for both the client and the candidate. Worst work experience of my life.
