Career advancement is a topic that we spend a lot of time focused on, so thank you for surfacing it here. For context, we think about advancement on two levels. One level of advancement is about advancing within your current role, and the other is about advancing into a new role. There are a limited number of new positions opened each year and we tend to attract very ambitious employees because of the awesome things mentioned above. There may not be enough new openings each year to fulfill everyone's ambitions for career advancement into those new roles. However, this doesn't mean that there is no room for advancement. We strive to create career advancement opportunities for everyone within their existing roles on an annual basis. Over time, career development within current roles leads to advancement into new roles. We made significant investments in career development across all of Zillow Group over the past couple of years to provide each employee with the right tools (Career Development Playbook, Quarterly Check In Meetings, etc.) and to make advancement opportunities more visible internally.
