Svantaggi
This is a standard 1099 independent contractor/straight commission job with a long, shallow learning curve and income curve. Entire working relationship between company and you is rigged in company's favor. They own and control everything. They can and will shut you out or put another sales rep in your territory at any time. Their churn rate with sales reps is over 80%, so where does that leave your chances of success. With over 100 "active" sales reps, of course they will have "singers" who say management is the best and income is great, but the numbers in their CRM of how many reps have come and gone don't lie. My immediate supervisor was a fraud--constantly lied and consistently failed to deliver on promises, big and small; had no clue how to train or interest in training; was completely unreliable and clueless on how to develop and support his salespeople out in the field. eQuip may have some good regional managers, but mine was the biggest impediment to my success. After their video training, which is woefully inadequate for a job that is so complex and deals in big ticket sales, you are going to be on your own. The pressure to produce starts two weeks after you sign on, and the sales quotas are totally unrealistic, but failure to meet them is grounds for the company to can you. Anything you generate is company property stored in their CRM system, not yours, so when you leave (or when they kick you out without a reason) your production stays with them and they keep any future commissions on future sales. The entire eQuip sales system is set up with the expectation that you will fail-- it's 80% probable, and they will profit off what you have to leave behind, and they can easily replace you with their high powered recruiting machine. This is why their total direct investment in you before you start selling is less than $100; you could be out thousands if you don't make quick sales before you ever see a paycheck. Oh, the biggest lie in the entire organization is the one you tell your customers: "You set your price and that is exactly what you get." You will be taught and encouraged to chisel your customers down when a sale is imminent, all in the name of "it's more income for you".
