Dear L.,
The experience you had was regretful and was not the outcome either you or Emarsys had wanted. In the same vein, 2020 has been a difficult year that has impacted everyone globally across all business and life facets with unprecedented changes and uncertainty. This has also forced our organization to pivot and make short notice changes, no matter how invested we were in the original plans.
It's also the reason why our Team had advised you not to hand in your resignation until we had full clarity and confirmation on your work permit. In retrospect, had this advice been taken, it would have avoided the current predicament you are in, as the headcount was removed the same time the permit was approved, which is very unfortunate.
However, we understand discussing "what if's" will not change your current situation and our local team are making efforts to assist you in your job search and help you move on during this challenging period.
We've also taken this as a learning experience internally to review and reflect, reinforce and further tighten our recruitment processes and communications to ensure we do not reencounter similar situations. We treat offering and hiring with utmost importance, and we respect and value all candidates whether or not they ultimately become part of the Emarsys family.
Once again, we are sorry about your current situation and we wish you all the best.
Kind regards,
Mila Pilipczuk
