Svantaggi
One of the biggest issues at myQuickHR is the top management culture. Everything is always last minute because of poor planning, and employees are expected to rush work urgently all the time. The MD also showed very little respect for employees’ time and workload.
The working environment can feel very toxic and mentally draining. Instead of giving constructive feedback, management often criticises employees in a harsh and degrading way that feels more like humiliation than guidance. The MD would openly shout at staff in front of others without empathy or professionalism, which creates unnecessary stress and embarrassment.
Another concern was the leadership within the implementation team. The implementation leader appeared to show clear favoritism toward only two members of the team, while the remaining team members often received far less guidance, support, or opportunities to contribute. This created an uneven working environment and left some employees feeling overlooked. Despite being a very senior employee, the leader also seemed resistant to adopting newer technologies, modern IT practices, or process improvements, even when those changes could benefit the company or its clients. Working under someone who consistently dismissed new ideas and rarely welcomed different perspectives made collaboration challenging and limited opportunities for innovation.
The sales team also reflected some of the broader cultural issues within the company. At the time, there were only two established sales representatives, with one new salesperson having just joined. It often appeared that one salesperson received noticeably more recognition and approval from management, not because she’s that good, but because she knows the right thing to say and loves to gossip together with the top management while the other was frequently criticised and scolded. This uneven treatment created an unhealthy atmosphere within the team. I wish nothing but the best for the new salesperson because she doesn’t know yet what she had signed for.
Management is also extremely unwilling to spend on the office and employees. Cost-cutting seems more important than staff well-being, comfort, or having proper resources to work efficiently. Employees are expected to deliver their best while management tries to spend as little as possible on important things.
The HR department is another major problem. The HR manager was very rude, dismissive, and difficult to approach, while the HR executive often avoided responsibility and passed work around. Employee concerns were not handled professionally, and important matters were treated too casually.
No bonus, small office and no work from home arrangement.
Overall, the company has potential if they change their top management entirely. The culture created by top management and HR seriously damages employee morale and makes the workplace unnecessarily stressful.
