lots of flexibility and independency, once you get settled and are able to handle most repairs yourself depending on how busy your location is you may open and close up shop yourself good training, with videos and quizzes on current repairs had a script to follow when dealing with customer service and upselling relaxing work, once you get over the fear of destroying components and become competent in the work shop opens at 10, closes at 7 so always consistent work schedules ubreakifix portal has plenty of training videos to brush up on device repairs and easy to navigate

really low pay, when I was in charge of opening and closing shop, taking care of work orders, dealing with difficult customers, trying to upsell and meet monthly quota of sales it can seem like the compensation does not match the work requested during slow days, my work hours went down to 20-30 hours a week, at 12.50 an hour. definitely needed a second job some customers can be extremely difficult and blame you for breaking the device more even though it came in wrecked. which is why it's extremely important to write everything in the work order precisely, and do a system check in front of the customer when they check the device in. if this job paid more I would definitely work here for a long time

- If you are ONLY interested in a tech/tech repair focused position, this is not the job for you. Unless you have a decade of experience you will be expected to make sales, bargain for reviews, and go above and beyond at all times to increase store sales. - MASSIVE barriers to earn commissions. - No PTO - No sick days - No upward movement except for extrordinary circumstances. - Falls short of other employers in terms of compensation. - No raises whatsoever once you finish training. - Shady grey-area business practices, straddling the line of breach of contract with partnerships at some points. - You will be asked to lie, mislead, cheat, and manipulate not only customers, but the very partners that keep your stores in business. The partners of uBreakiFix (mainly Asurion) have to constantly update the terms and rules of their partnerships because you are expected to take complete advantage of every single customer that walks in your doors. If you have any sort of moral compass whatsoever, look somewhere else. The best way to survive at uBreakiFix is to KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN. They don't require experience, but expect to be thrown to the wolves as soon as your 90-days are up. Hit the ground running, keep your head down, and make sure your hands are clean at the end of the day.
