Penn State Health is a multi-hospital health system that serves patients and communities across 29 counties of Pennsylvania. The system comprises six hospitals, including its flagship teaching and research hospital, Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, and Penn State Health Children’s Hospital, central Pennsylvania’s only acute care hospital specifically for ill or injured children.
Penn State Health partners with Penn State College of Medicine, the University’s medical school, to improve lives through research and education. This vital partnership gives patients access to advanced primary and specialty care from doctors who are not only experts in their fields but also teach the next generation of doctors. With campuses in Hershey and State College, Pa., the College of Medicine boasts a portfolio of more than $150 million in funded research and more than 1,700 students and trainees in medicine, nursing, other health professions and biomedical research.
