      Candidatura

La procedura ha richiesto 2 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso 21 Choices

      Colloquio

When I applied in 2014, the first stage was a large in-store interview. They would ask you a little bit about yourself, and then a week or two later you get a call-back. The next stage is another small interview, in a group of maybe two or three people, and then if you pass that (almost everyone does) you go into a (paid) trial period for a few weeks. They train you how to work in the store and assess how you are doing and how fast you are learning. The transition is pretty seamless. When I was working there, I didn't even know that this period was part of the process until someone else told me. You won't receive tips though, until after you're considered officially part of the job (about 2-4 weeks). I think this is pretty standard for summer hires since they're looking to hire a big group at once, but while I was working there I recall that there was a change to the process. If you wanted a job, you would ask someone working in store who could hand you a sheet to fill out. The sheet just has basic questions (why do you want to work here? etc.). Write neatly! Then, if the hiring manager likes your answers, you will be called for a small group interview. Not sure the details of this process though, since I never personally experienced it.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

I don't remember what they asked me, but I think the focus was more on personality. Be outgoing, friendly, and confident—while these are generally virtues for any job, it's especially important here. Would recommend having a basic answer ready for something like "why do you want to work here" and be prepared to be talking in front of a group.
