They are just trying to get as many people in the room to hear the spiel to try to get anyone at all to show some interest. This is a total scam and only people who are genuinely interested in selling life insurance as an independent contractor should attend. If they are this dishonest in the interview process then I can't imaging what working there would be like.

Felt like I was “catfished” by an Employer. When I arrived for the interview, it was a group session/presentation for a 100% commission based Contractor role. This was not at all what I anticipated. You have to pay for and take an exam to sell supplemental insurance before you can begin to earn any money with this. I was told that I could start as soon as I soon as I passed the exam. There is no “offer” because you are not an employee...you are a Contractor.
