The interview process started with a fair bit of friction. My first two interviews had to be rescheduled at the last minute because the internal team had a flight to catch.
I moved on to the third stage, which involved a task/presentation. I felt the session went well, and I was told I would hear back the following week. However, communication completely broke down after this point. Despite a thank-you note and a gentle nudge a week later, I received an Out of Office reply and no further engagement.
After waiting over three weeks with zero updates, I sent a final email to express my disappointment at being ghosted. A few days later, I received an apology stating that I had actually progressed to the final stage. Bizarrely, just two days after being told I had advanced, I received another email stating that due to internal 'realignment,' the role was no longer a fit and they wanted to hop on a feedback call.
At that stage, given the ongoing inconsistencies and the lack of respect for a candidate's time, I declined to pursue the conversation further. The people I met were perfectly pleasant, but the internal recruitment coordination and communication logic need significant improvement
Advice to Management
Please respect candidates' time. Moving multiple interviews last minute and leaving a candidate in limbo for over three weeks—only to tell them they passed, and then change directions 48 hours later—shows a severe lack of internal alignment and disorganized recruitment processes.
