      Colloquio per Database Management

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 3 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso ACGMedia (Torrance, CA) nel mese di set 2012

      Colloquio

I found this position posted in Craigslist. In 1 week, I had a phone interview first which lasted about 50 minutes. The HR person had my resume in front of her and she wanted me to go over my employment history. She asked me relevant questions pertaining directly to my responsibilities in each job I held (20 year span). The next week I had a face-to-face interview with the Director of HR. It lasted about 20 minutes before I had to take a math, spelling, geography and Excel test. I knew this beforehand via email. I passed them all. The next DAY she asked if I would meet the visiting VP of that department. I came in and we had 1 1/2 hour interview. He asked me a couple of questions that I was prepared for. I ended up asking him a lot of questions and had him talking more than me! The next week, I had a 4th interview back with the original phone interviewer. It was at this point that I was expecting a job offer. It did not happen. Instead, they wanted me to consider an Office Manager position. So after hearing about it, I asked to be considered for BOTH positions and place me where I fit in better. Granted, I knew which position I wanted. The next week, both ladies emailed and called me to tell me that they decided to go with somebody else in BOTH positions!! I could tell they felt bad but I managed to turn that around and keep the door open for later. I did not burn any bridges. Honestly, I felt this interview processes was too time-consuming and unnecessary (with the visiting VP) if you were not going to move forward with the candidate.

      Domande di colloquio [1]

      Domanda 1

The unexpected question was: tell me about a difficult or challenging time that you had to face and overcome. The unexpected request was to make a copy of my degrees.
