I had applied here for SDE-2 frontend role but i got a call from HR for SDE-2 full stack role(90% frontend 10% backend). Round 1(Machine Coading):- I have to create a table component using only input and select element where the major functionalities are:- data can be filtered in table using coloums sorting of columns table should be rendered based on json which is directly coming from backend so if we are getting a component as data from backend then we have to render that component in cell of a table. as a followups he asked to implement pagination. Round 2(System Design):- I have to design a messaging app like whatsapp where the major functionalities are:- one to one communication one to many communication (Groups and all) listing of chats Status section of whatsapp. like uploading and seeing of status in this round we majorly disscussed about the backend API's which is needed and how data structure look like for every entity . Data base and little about backend. Round 3(Hiring Manager):- Started with introduction nd then deep dive into past projects and some questions around it. then he gave me one api to design but told me to use chat gpt(i just have to create it and brief about it). Then some frontend tech questiond and behavioural questions. after this round after 30 mins HR called me and told the feedback is postive and schduled HR disscussion. Round 4(HR Discussion) :- Basic Behavioural questions and discussion about ACKO's culture. After all the rounds, firstly HR was told to give me result in sometime same day but after 4 days she contacted me and told we are not moving forward as the feedback is postive from pannel but mixed review so HM decided to explore for other candidates as you dont have much backend knowledge(as i already explained in every round as m frontend developer but still i was able to solve asked question during interviews and that was majorly a frontend role). I dont understand If companies don't want to hire someone. Then why they took interviews as I already mentioned in starting as i dont have any backend experience.
