HR was checking general competence and qualifications (weed out cronyism), Sr Dir was checking critical and strategic thinking, Dir was checking role/industry-specific knowledge, unrelated Sr Dir was looking for “cultural fit” and VP was looking at overall candidate fit/experience for the role.
