Initially interview was scheduled at 10:30 am. A day before the interview Consultant calls and tells that, the panel is not available at that time. So it is scheduled at 2:30. I reached at 2:30 and was made to sit at the waiting area for more than 3 hours with no updates. Finally around 5:45 I was called. There were two Interviewers. Both of them were in a hurry to leave. They said we are getting late, let's wrap up quick. A design question was given, and even before I could draw something clear on paper, he changes the question. Another problem was given, in which I was asked to propose the architecture. They are so confused among themselves that, when I started with designing services, one of them asks me to give DB design for that . While I'm putting that on paper, another person asks me the deployment architecture. Then they jump into Cluster management, then comes back to DB. Meanwhile the one who asked this question left the panel. Only one interviewer left. This all happened in 10 mins and then he said we are done, and even before me, they started rushing. Worst experience I ever had.

First of all it was a horrible interview experience at ADP Chennai. I'm 11 years experienced techie, had a scheduled interview @10 AM through one of their consultancy. I was on time and had asked to give my cell phone to the security before entering to their premises. There were 6 more people before me, couple more joined us after me. HR herself came only around 10:15. All of us had been asked to wait in a meeting room by HR. No panelist came till 11 AM, one of the person walked out of the meeting room and asked about the delay I guess (He never came back, looked like he left). Eventually HR came to the meeting room and said 'Sorry for the delay. I'm sure that the interview process will be done at least by 2 PM, request your patience till then'. Around 11:30 AM one of the panelist came and called the person who came at first for the interview. In another 30 minutes 2 more panelists came called two more for the interview. So I'm the next and keep waiting, no updates from the HR about the delay or how long should I wait. And one of their team needed the meeting room so we had asked to leave the meeting room and sit in the open waiting area where we have to wait in front of all of their employees. I asked the HR (She never updated us the status by herself, I had to wait for her to pass by to check about the same), she said all of our panelists are busy with their work please wait. Now the time is 2 PM, I lost my patience and asked you said by 2 PM we can finish the process and leave. She gave the same lame reason like our panelists are busy with their sprint and so on. She gave an option of having lunch in their cafeteria and wait for another 30 minutes. I said sorry I can't afford to wait as you don't seem to have a definite plan. I didn't want to give up this thing easily since I heard good review about this company and its work culture. I asked, is there a possibility for the telephonic interview or over the weekend interview. HR said, we usually don't do telephonic since you waited so long I can ask for telephonic and update you. It has been 4 days I haven't heard back from them yet. I have a lot to write but this post is already long :). Such an unexpected and horrible experience in ADP Chennai which I never had in my 11 years. I really wonder what do the HR think about the people who are seeking job at your company? My humble request to them, pls don't treat any job seekers this way whether they are experienced or a fresher. Thanks much.
