Did not apply to role. HR reached out via LinkedIn to gauge interest. Process began with typical 20 minute screening discussion over the phone with HR. Was asked to attend an in-person interview about three weeks later with HR and a portfolio manager.
Interview was introductory in nature, not technical, and littered with typical behavioral questions, many of which had been addressed during the screen. Discussion was cut short due to a planned fire drill with one team member strolling into the interview 5 minutes late. Ended with positive discussion about next steps/potential starts dates. 72 hours later was told they didn't want to move forward with a rationale that was at odds with what was disclosed during the interview.
