TL,DR: Bad interview, made to wait 25 mins for screening interview which could've been done over the phone. Made to wait over an hour for main interview. The 'events' are standing outside venues trying to sell to the public.
I was made to wait 25 minutes for the screening interview. This was supposed to last at least 20 minutes, but took barely 10 minutes. The manager did most of the talking, telling me what the company was about. This interview could've easily been done over the phone.
Then asked to come in for an assessment day where I would also be observing one team on the event they were working on. I was told I'd been paired up with a manager already. This day would've lasted about 6hours I think and was told a lot of planning had been done for it.
However, when I arrived I was made to wait over an hour before the interview actually started. Nobody bothered to explain, when I enquired I was told they were having a morning meeting and the head manager was deciding who to team people up with in this meeting.
The team leader who would assess me had an off putting attitude. When asking me questions it felt more like an interrogation. This may just be a personal opinion, but I think an interviewer should make the interviewee feel comfortable and relaxed. How can you accurately assess me if I'm made to feel on edge.
For the 'event': we had to travel to another train station, requiring me to spend additional money, which I feel I should've been told about. The 'event' was the team setting up a stall outside the station and speaking to members of the public, trying to get them to sign up. On the way there he was telling us more about what they do and how it works. We were then told to write down strengths and weaknesses as an exercise and then list qualities of a leader and observe the team. Most of this was out in the cold although he didn't mind me sitting on a warm cafe for a bit. At this point, I decided to leave and notified them.
