Colloquio
I applied online and I filled online questionaire , simple mathematical questions. Also you have to answer all questions to show " can do attitude" ...After two months I was called for an assesment for 20 min. The area manager asked me what I know about the company' why I want to work for Aldi, do I drive the car , did I have any issues to get to the interview place, She asked me to tell her about my self as well.Also she asked me what I am doing at the moment, would the contract hours be acceptable, am I flexible and can I do weekends as well.She also gave me one more page of questions to fill up. she gave me 5 minutes for that.There were 11 questions, 9 mathematical and two visual ( right spelling for sparkling vine and right reading of the bar code)
A day later I received anoth email asking me to come for an two hours " shop expirience" I spend 2 hours and 20 min doing that. i filled up health&safety questionaires and I been shown the warrhouse and how to operate the fork-trolly to take pallets out to the shop floor. I emptied two full pallets. Store manager spend all the time with me showing me a proper way of stacking the shelves.She showed me the fridges, and she explained me about recycling and how they donate to charity ( damaged but still good food) The rest of the food is sent to some excellerator to be used as a fuel. I sas amused by great " German eficiency" and high level of recycling awarenes. ( Carbon footprint) Then she asked me to count some bottles and after that she acted as a customer at the till and I had to put various items trough the till and give a right change ( the till doesnt tell you what the change is so ypi have to show the manager that you know how to properly count the change for the customer) also you have to pay attention that nothing else is not hanging on the trolly hook, that you see the difference between simillar looking tins , that you are aware of age restrict products ( alcohol) and not to sel more than x2 medications.
After that we went to the office and have some nice chat .The only negative ( against the law) question was do Ihave children? That king of questions are big NO NO as it is discriminatory but personaly I dont have feeling that manager was thinking anything bad at all.

Had a group online interview and I felt it was very hard to get any point across and it felt very over the top and the process seemed too long for what the job actually was
Started as a group where we were educated on the history and benefits about working at ALDI, and were asked what we think working at ALDI is like. Seemed like a good company with fair pay. The individual interview itself only asked availability.
I was first givwn the opportunity to join a group assessment, which I passed. I was then asked to attend a face-to-face interview, in-store but the manager did not come into work that day and I was asked to rearrange the interview after waiting for over an hour. Another applicant also turned uo and waited 30 minutes after I arrived
