Applied at the end of october in 2012 on a friday got a call on sunday to set up interview for tuesday offered the job friday. Interview is easy, all my questions were about times you had poor service and how you handled it and did it make you want to go back, stuff along those lines. Then was given a brochure about the stubs program and told to read it over and when ready sell it. I had to sell it to multiple situations such as "i dont come to the movies often" "I dont live around here" etc...
A few tips:
The interview was a personality test. Can you make conversation and be nice?
Google the stubs program and learn everything its about
SMILE as much as possible because they really go for smiles

How are you with customer service and problem solving angry customers? It wasnt bad, a lot of what would you do if type questions. I got the job eventually. And it was my favorite.

Process is fairly easy. If they're interested in your online application, they do a phone screening. If you do well on that one, they call you in to do an interview for the specific theater. Most of the questions are personality based. They do have you have you pitch AMC Stubs just to get a feel of how you'd present it to customers. Not sure why someone said people get hired on the spot as I never came across a crew member that got hired immediately, even if they were short staffed. Typically it takes a couple days before they give you a response.
