The interviews at AMD are on a per-team basis with no standard way of conducting them. I interviewed with several hiring managers. The one that ended up hiring me asked some general questions about processors (How can you make a processor faster? What does a CMOS transistor look like?), and the rest of the interview was more casual/chatty. For entry level positions it seems like most managers are mostly looking for engineers that are friendly and able to work with others to learn how to do their jobs.
