There was an in person interview with the Director. The focus was mostly on the traditional personality type interview questions. There was not a huge emphasis on technical skill. The overall interview seemed very casual unlike those at larger corporations. I received a follow-up within a week and negotiated salary over the phone. This was then followed by background checks and drug tests. No professional references were called although they were provided.
